Romanticizing your life

By Eliza

Romanticizing Your Life

We’re all looking for a perfect life to enjoy, but maybe all we

need, is a good perspective.

Have you ever sipped your coffee like you’re the lead character

of a French movie? Or put your headphones on and walked like

everything around you is part of a music video?

Doing that won’t make you a French movie star or part of a

music video, but sometimes life is just about those little highs

isn’t it. In pretending, we sometimes forget to look for

something bigger and more exciting because we are at peace

with the present.

Sometimes, when life feels boring, or stuck, all you need is to

play that playlist which makes you feel alive, do your skincare,

paint that painting, talk to that friend. You don’t have to fake

happiness, but rather, find it in little things instead of hoping for

the big ones that may never arrive.

Often, it’s just about being happy with what you have, the little

things. To actually feel like yes, my life really is worth it, so go

ahead, wear that outfit that you think is cool, write random

things in your notes app in a poetic or dramatic manner, watch

that cringe movie, look in the mirror like you’re the main

character. You are. The more you notice it, the happier you are.
